"Have you asked her yet?" Sandra asked with a twinkle in her eye. "No, not yet." I replied as my eyed dropped to the floor. "She wasn't in today."
"That's okay,” Sandra said with an elbow nudge “there is always tomorrow. I can hardly wait to hear how much she LOVES your idea!" I am smiling again with my head held high and a hopeful heart.
That is Sandra in a nutshell. An encouraging friend who had more faith in me than I dared have in myself. Truthfully, it might have been years before I had the guts to go after a dream with so much courage. This dream was to teach art classes in a coffee shop built to look like an old schoolhouse.
I took Sandra to the coffee shop yesterday and the wish slipped out before I could sensor myself. She loved it! And she couldn't let it fade away either. Sandra is a life coach for ambitious women. This might explain why she was just as excited as I me and why she had so many questions. Ten minutes after talking with Sandra, it was clear to both of us that my dream was remarkably clear. I had a vision. I had a plan. And Sandra? She was my catalyst.
The next day, I did it. I asked the owner of the coffee shop if I could teach an art class in her shop.
